| About Barbara Barbara grew up in an artistic family, where her mother, grandmother, and great-grandfather enjoyed painting long before she was born. The early exposure to painting and sculpting helped form her love of visual expression. While a student at the Pingree School in South Hamilton, MA, Barbara studied art with Richard Erickson. The lively conversations in the art room helped round out the idea that art is more about how you see the world, and less about technique, though that can be important too. After graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design, Barbara worked for a design company, DreamLight, Inc. After almost 5 years of working for other firms, Barbara decided to open up her own shop. Today she strives to maintain a balance between digital and traditional design. Although the body of work is very diverse, she enjoys the creative process involved in all of her projects. |
