Art Club
For children age 9-16, group lessons are available Wednesday afternoons from 4-5pm. In a small group of three or four students, each person can work in their preferred media, while enjoying personalized instruction and lively group conversation. In good weather, a walking field trip to the nearby river to paint and draw outside is a fun diversion.

Price: $20 for 1 hour group lesson
Structure: Each student works on their own project, with assistance from the art instructor.
Location: At the studio
Materials: For a project you have in mind, please bring appropriate materials. Sample materials available at the studio for experimentation. Sculpture, mixed media, drawing and painting are all welcome.

Plein Air Painting
For the beginner, painting out of doors can be a very enjoyable, low pressure environment for painting in either watercolor or acrylic. This is also a great way to study natural light, and get away from drawing from photographs. With field trips to local sites, individual and group instruction is offered. Two hours of painting with 1/2 hour added for a lunch break or picnic. Please allow 3 hours for the entire outing.

Price: $50 for an individual lesson, $35 in a group setting
Structure: Students help choose location ahead of time (rolling hills, seascape, quaint village) and with attention from the art instructor, learns how to paint using watercolor or acrylic.
Location: Cox Reservation, Bearskin Neck in Rockport, Marblehead, Crane Estate, etc...
Materials: A beginner set of either watercolor or acrylic is recommended.
Dates: April–October, 2008 - Saturdays 9am-12pm
